Have a piece of Cake at Prim Perfect

Lets eat a piece of cake, and fight Cancer. Am I sounding a bit funny? Well, Prim Perfect hosted an event to help raise money to fight against cancer by selling Cakes. An event conducted on 26th September will end today, October 3rd. Yes, I know really need to hurry and go grab a piece of a favorite cake. As it is Second Life, and tasting cake is not really possible, i.e., virtually impossible, Prim Perfect has come up with a brilliant idea. They asked people to bake a cake for their favorite home made recipe. If someone could not, they would bake a cake for them.

Every September, the UK charity Macmillan Cancer Support holds the biggest coffee morning in the world. Last year, they held a very special coffee morning at Prim Perfect, where they raised £85.00 (over US$100) through the sale of virtual cake.

This year they are inviting people across the grid to join us by holding coffee mornings of their own – in their stores, cafes, and virtual homes. They will either supply cakes for you or you can donate your own and get your friends to share their favorite recipes too.This event – a party at the Prim Perfect offices. On the grid, all the money raised from cakes and donations would go to an avatar they have created especially for the event – Macmillan CoffeeMorning (with a registered name of CoffeeMorning Resident). But if you host your own event,  you can donate to their Just Giving page. or directly to Macmillan Cancer Support. This money is be registered (so we can see how much we raise through the coffee mornings) and will be sent securely and directly to Macmillan Cancer Support.
