On Sunday, November 2nd, 2014, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Across Second Life, is going to host its first ever awards ceremony at Rose Theater to honor those who have contributed their efforts such as awareness, generosity and vision to fund raise for this special cause. The Nominations for the awards in various categories is open. Visit their official site to nominate anyone you know who has contributed enough to be applauded by others as well.
The 2014 MSABC in Second Life Committee are going to hand out awards for various categories:
- The Margery Gould Rath Award
- The Making Strides Awareness Award
- The Friends of Strides Award
- The Tickle Me Pink Award
- The Pink Power Award
The Margery Gould Rath Award has been named after the founder of Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Movement. It will be awarded to the individual who embraces the concept, spirit and message of the movement with humility, care and dedication. Nominees are non -committee members in Second Life.
The Making Strides Awareness Award will be awarded to one of the nominee, a non- committee member, who have spread the concept, message and mission of Making Stride Against Breast Cancer in Second Life the most.
The Friends of Strides Award will also be awarded to individuals, non- committee member, throughout the Second Life Community who have contributed to the making of Seasons of Pink in various ways
The Pink Power Award is for everyone who took "wearing pink" to an entire new level. Everyone is eligible for this award.
Apart from giving out Awards, the event will also feature a special Pink Themed Dance Troupe. The whole event will be broadcasted live by T1 Radio. After the presentation there will a Formal Black Tie Ball at the adjacent Rose Ballroom. The music will be played by DJ Trader1 Whiplash, the owner of T1 Radio. The event theme is formal, hence it is requested that wear your ravishing formal attire to the event.
